YELLOW BRICK ROAD AT JALAN BATAI, DAMANSARA HEIGHTS

Yellow Brick Road is situated in a small area/village by itself, an area housing a few shops, a florist, a hair salon, other cafes and restaurants.

My first visit to Yellow Brick Road was with a bunch of friends when it first opened back in April. We read the reviews and decided to drop by for a visit. Some of the dishes we ordered were ;

I Want To Be Kaya & Char Siu Chicken with Aglio Olio Pasta
The 'I Want To Be Kaya' was made up of two slices of French toast, poached pear, some strawberries and caramel Kaya to be poured on top the toasts. It looked like a simple dish but I liked how the toasts were soft and the caramel Kaya added flavours to the dish especially when eaten with the poached pear. This RM22 dish is best eaten for breakfast or brunch.

The Char Siu Chicken with Aglio Olio Pasta was something new altogether. Never have I tried a mixture of Char Siu Chicken with pasta so it was interestingly tasty and not to mention, filling! Priced at RM25 (if not mistaken), it is a dish worth experimenting.

Oatly Amusing
Piccolo Latte
Oatly Amusing is muesli in soy milk - never tried it but it looked like a healthy dish to eat for breakfast, especially if you are on a diet or want a light meal. Costed around RM20.

I am not a coffee person so when I cafe hop I usually opt for Chocolate or Matcha Latte (which is my favourite! - I especially love cafes with a good cup of Matcha Latte). This cup of Piccolo Latte is of course, my friend's. Had to photograph it cos it's such a cute cup! I have forgotten how much this costed.

Second visit here was just a few days ago, with my good friend Li Ping. The menu at Yellow Brick Road was revised and some new dishes were added. Even before 12pm the place was full. Luckily, they opened up the section upstairs (which is Wicked Pancake Parlour - opens at 4pm). It was a girls' date and I was very excited for Li Ping to try the place cos I recommended it. Food was served promptly and this was what we ordered ;

Eggs Norwegian,  Pulled Beef Benedict
Eggs Norwegian consisted of smoked salmon, hollandaise sauce, smashed avocado and potato rosti (which tasted slightly like hashbrowns). It was Li Ping's dish and she was very satisfied with it. Costed RM23.

My dish was the Pulled Beef Benedict. This pulled beef was served with broccolini and basil, with two poached eggs dribbled with Thai mayo on top of crispy English muffin. Delicious beyond words! This I definitely recommend!! The dish was RM25.

Flat White

Very tempted to order the Gardener's Brekkie and also the Big Breakfast but there were only two of us ... I guess I will have to head back another time. Too many dishes I want to order from this place!

Both of my visits to Yellow Brick Road were very pleasant minus the fact that the parking rates were crazy expensive (RM1.50 for the first hour and RM2.50 for every subsequent hour). Nice walls around this place for OOTDs too! I would suggest bringing along a good photographer friend.
